अथ: श्री नवग्रह स्तोत्र

ऊं श्री गणेशाय नमः

सूर्य देव: जपाकुसुम संकाशं काश्यपेयं महदद्युतिम् । तमोरिंसर्वपापघ्नं प्रणतोSस्मि दिवाकरम् ॥ १ ॥

हिंदी अर्थ : हे सूर्य देव जपा के फूल की तरह आपकी कान्ति है, कश्यप से आप उत्पन्न हुए हैं, अन्धकार आपका शत्रु है, आप सब पापों को नष्ट कर देते हैं, आपको मैं प्रणाम करता हूं।

चन्द्रमा देव: दधिशंखतुषाराभं क्षीरोदार्णव संभवम् । नमामि शशिनं सोमं शंभोर्मुकुट भूषणम् ॥ २ ॥

हिंदी अर्थ : हे चंद्र देव दही, शंख व हिम के समान आपकी दीप्ति है, आपकी उत्पत्ति क्षीर-समुद्र से है, आप हमेशा शिवजी के मुकुट पर अलंकार की तरह विराजमान रहते हैं, मैं आपको प्रणाम करता हूं।

मंगल देव: धरणीगर्भ संभूतं विद्युत्कांति समप्रभम् । कुमारं शक्तिहस्तं तं मंगलं प्रणाम्यहम् ॥ ३ ॥

हिंदी अर्थ — मंगल देव आपकी उत्पत्ति पृथ्वी के उदर से हुई है, विद्युत्पुंज के समान आपकी प्रभा है, आप अपने हाथों में शक्ति धारण किये रहते हैं, आपको मैं प्रणाम करता हूं।

बुध देव: प्रियंगु कलिकाश्यामं रुपेणाप्रतिमं बुधम् । सौम्यं सौम्यगुणोपेतं तं बुधं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥ ४ ॥

हिंदी अर्थ — हे बुध देव प्रियंगु की कली की तरह आपका श्याम वर्ण है, आपके रूप की कोई उपमा नहीं है। उन सौम्य और गुणों से युक्त बुध को मैं प्रणाम करता हूं।

बृहस्पति देव: देवानांच ऋषीनांच गुरुं कांचन सन्निभम् । बुद्धिभूतं त्रिलोकेशं तं नमामि बृहस्पतिम् ॥ ५॥

हिंदी अर्थ — हे बृहस्पति देव आप देवताओं और ऋषियों के गुरु हैं, कंचन के समान आपकी प्रभा है, जो बुद्धि के अखण्ड भण्डार और तीनों लोकों के प्रभु हैं, मैं आपको प्रणाम करता हूं।

शुक्र देव: हिमकुंद मृणालाभं दैत्यानां परमं गुरुम् । सर्वशास्त्र प्रवक्तारं भार्गवं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥ ६ ॥

हिंदी अर्थ — हे शुक्र देव तुषार, कुन्द और मृणाल के समान आपकी आभा है, आप ज्ञान के भंडार हैं, दैत्यों के परम गुरु हैं, आप सब शास्त्रों के अद्वितीय वक्ता हैं। मैं आपको प्रणाम करता हूं।

शनि देव: नीलांजन समाभासं रविपुत्रं यमाग्रजम् । छायामार्तंड संभूतं तं नमामि शनैश्चरम् ॥ ७ ॥

हिंदी अर्थ — हे शनि देव नीले अंजन (स्याही) के समान आपकी दीप्ति है, आप सूर्य भगवान् के पुत्र और यमराज के बड़े भाई हैं, सूर्य की छाया से आपकी उत्पत्ति हुई है, मैं आपको प्रणाम करता हूं।

राहु देव : अर्धकायं महावीर्यं चंद्रादित्य विमर्दनम् । सिंहिकागर्भसंभूतं तं राहुं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥ ८ ॥

हिंदी अर्थ — हे राहु देव आप आधे शरीर वाले हैं, सिंहिका के गर्भ से आपकी उत्पत्ति हुई है, आपको मैं प्रणाम करता हूं।

केतु देव: पलाश पुष्प संकाशं तारकाग्रह मस्तकम् । रौद्रंरौद्रात्मकं घोरं तं केतुं प्रणमाम्यहम् ॥ ९ ॥

हिंदी अर्थ — हे केतु देव पलाश के फूल की तरह आपकी लाल दीप्ति है, आप समस्त तारकाओं में श्रेष्ठ हैं, जो स्वयं रौद्र रूप और रौद्रात्मक हैं, मैं आपको प्रणाम करता हूं।
